2010: What does it have in store?

Posted January 7th @ 7:42 pm by trishulpani

Exactly a year ago, I started this blog - and it has remained mostly unnoticed for obvious reasons. Not too many posts, not enough content - blah blah blah. OK. Deep breath. It’s start of another year. And the circumstances are similar. During last year I have managed to stay married (and quite happily at [...]

Home 2009: The Selfish Man

Posted November 15th @ 9:16 am by trishulpani

I had some time over this weekend and I watched a docu-film called Home(2009). It shocked the hell out of me and reminded me of the selfish human nature. This film is for everyone on this planet and is a must watch not only for its sensational photography but also for its message : The [...]

I voted

Posted May 13th @ 8:38 am by trishulpani

I woke up early in the morning and prepared my mind to vote for my candidate of choice. This time however, the awareness about polls and candidates seem better. All thanks to advancement in use of technology. The Indian democracy is the largest electorate by all counts and heck, I was really surprised to get [...]

Surprise

Posted May 3rd @ 8:50 am by trishulpani

When was the last time you got really ’surprised’? I don’t know about any one else but the usual ‘wow’ doesn’t come too often for me. This can only mean that I’ve turned into a zen master where everythings - good or bad seems pretty much the same or, I’ve become disinterested in most things. [...]

Replacing my HTC P3400i

Posted March 18th @ 12:21 am by trishulpani

I had bought an HTC P3400i about 3 months ago with much fanfare since I was really crazy about touch phones and wanted one that wouldn’t burn my pockets. At that point of time, the P3400i made a lot of sense. I used it to the fullest extent and I was really happy. But as [...]

The Kite Runner

Posted March 7th @ 9:15 pm by trishulpani

I was inspired to read the book after seeing the movie. I had this book with me for quite some time but finally got to read it during my return train journey from Chennai to Kolkata. I could easily identify with the plot as I had seen the movie but I din’t expect both of [...]

Crossing Roads in Chennai

Posted February 11th @ 8:57 pm by trishulpani

Folks who have stayed in Saidapeth (Chennai) and had wanted to cross the road will know what I am talking about. I never thought crossing a road could be so challenging. I was reminded of an old DOS game where you had to take control of a frog and get him across the road without [...]

While in Chennai - have local food

Posted February 9th @ 1:30 am by trishulpani

Well, as luck qould have it - I am visiting Chennai and will be there for a coupleof days. Pretty hot someone said and it turned out to be so true. If it had not been for AC rooms arranged by my company, it would’ve been impossible to survive. No wonder that these folks have [...]

The White Tiger

Posted February 4th @ 9:37 pm by trishulpani

Just finished reading “The White Tiger” by Aravind Adiga - a fantastic book. It entirely deserved the Man Booker Prize in 2008. I haven’t yet read the other nominees for e.g, Sea of Poppies but I have reasons to belive that this was the best entry. People who are screaming about how Boyle misrepresents India [...]

Get your blog indexed by Google

Posted January 20th @ 6:38 pm by trishulpani

I just happened to follow a couple of steps and behold (!) - my blog was indexed by Google in less than 21 days:
1) Signed up in Google Web master tools
2) Updated my blogs regularly
3) Commented on a page with high page rank and referred to that from my blog.
It really feels great.
Time for some [...]
